EnvironmentPolyurethane spot foam distinguishes itself by good vapor permeability (µ = 50), frost resistance and rot resistance. It is CFC-free, rotproof, odorless and physiologically harmless. The right and careful preparation of the roof background and the optimal processing of the ECOPUR spray foam guarantees you a long life span of your roof.

The raw materials for production of Polyurethane mainly come from crude oil. The fossil resources are very effectively used in the insulation with polyurethane, differently from the utilization as fuel for heating. If you look at the whole life cycle of the building material, more energy is saved than consumed. The institute Building and Environment in Königswinter has calculated that the primary energy needed for the production of a twelve cm thick PUR-insulation layer- also called as „gray energy”- is balanced by the saved heating energy even shortly after a year. Insulation materials made by polyurethane foam also have an absolutely positive Eco-balance.

House owner, who want to insulate their homes, are especially concerned about the health impact of insulation. Many rely upon natural insulation materials first in this regard e.g.:  on plant fiber. Under influence of moisture, however, mold infestation can occur in natural materials and the insulation capability is going to be reduced. Insulation with polyurethane is moisture resistant and  doesn’t provide contact surface for mold,  germs or bacteria. There is also no concern regarding noxious substances: polyurethane has been declared emission free by the Commission for Sanitary Evaluation of Building Materials (AgBB) to whom the Federal Offices for Environment and Health Authorities also belong.
